Is link building dead? Short answer, NO!

A recent article on the Guardian UK website claims that link building is dead and it’s all about content and social media. This theory is then re-enforced by several “expert” marketing agencies re-enforcing this view.

We totally agree that social signals, blogging, content and reviews are becoming more and more important which is why we’ve already launched like to follow and are about to launch a new product positivity (at no additional cost), but to say link building's dead is crazy!

In our opinion link building is still the most important part of your off-site SEO campaign but must be done at the right pace and in conjunction with the on-site relevance work that we recommend. See our 3 step strategy.

We can now make the on-site SEO changes

Within every clients initial report there are some critical changes that we require you to make to your site. These changes give your site relevance to your search terms and are absolutely critical in order to maximize the impact of the back links we build for you, which are centered around these search terms.

We often see a situation where a client has a good number of back links and the minute we improve the relevance on-site within a few weeks (after Google re-indexes the site) they pop on to the first page of Google and never look back.

These changes should take either yourself or your web developer no longer than an hour to complete. However, if you prefer, for a one off fee of just £49.99, we can now carry out these changes for you. As with every service we launch costs have been kept to a minimum, hence the low one off cost. This option is called the "managed on-site changes" and can be ordered via the client control panel.

Over 415,000 likes and follows exchanged!

You may already be aware that we publish all of our system stats. We believe in transparency and therefore publish and refresh our site wide stats on a 24 hour basis.

This statistic shows how many times our users (that are opted in to like to follow) have liked and followed each other via Twitter and Facebook. When we first started reporting these stats we were blown away. We knew that it was a popular system but had no idea how popular it had become.

Since launch our cients have exchanged over 415,000 likes and follows with over 1,500 now being exchanged everyday!

The key to its popularity is the way it's offered. You don't have to like and follow everyone. You choose to like and follow, or remove a site from the list. This means the system does not breach any of the rules set by Facebook / Twitter in the way you gain likes and follows. That means the likes and follows are highly regarded because they are from other vibrant socially active businesses and individuals, and the best bit...

Like to follow is included for free as part of our core SEO product!
